It's not too late to reserve your space at the annual Memorial Mass and Dinner. This is a beautiful event honoring our deceased Serrans and their widows. It's also a nice social event. Use the link on the calendar page to sign up.

Seminarians Adopted by SerraKCK members

Click on the link below to see all the Serra KCK members who have volunteered to adopt Archdiocesan seminarians. Many have adopted more than one seminarian. To "adopt" a seminarian simply means to prayer for him as he discerns his vocation, correspond with him especially on this birthday, Easter and Christmas, to socialize with him when he is in town—in general being supportive of him during this important period in his life. Ask anyone who has adopted a seminarian, the rewards are immense!

President's letter for November 2018

photograph of Tom SpencerFellow Serrans,
This fall in Kansas City is one of the most beautiful we have had in several years. Could this be a sign that God shows us something bright, beautiful and calming in the midst of an ever changing and fast paced world? Hope we can all take time to realize all the good things around us.

Website, website wherefore art thou website?

Right now it's going smoothly from short, to second to first as in a picture perfect play. And it's going to be great, more secure, mobile friendly and more interactive.

Slowly but surely we are progressing toward the transition. This month's content came from our website team. As usual Dr. Bob provided the technical editing to get it on the site. Once we have our new website, Dr. Bob will be able to take a much less active role, helping when he wants without doing the heavy lifting.

Who's on the new website team? Some outstanding players. The team includes Ed Connolly, John Spaniol, Frank Schuchardt, Mel Carney, Bob Yoksh., and, oh yeah,.....Dr. Bob.
